House Manual

The Barn is a cozy, one-room retreat equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

We provide toiletries, towels and bathrobes for your convenience. The kitchen is stocked with essentials to get you started including coffee, tea, sugar, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.

You'll also find a welcome pack upon arrival.

There is a washer/dryer in the kitchen.

We provide detergent and fabric softener for your convinience.

There is also an outdoor wash line for those who wish to use it.

There is an espresso machine in the kitchen.

Smart Tv and Netflix subscriptions are provided.

The radio in the Barn also offers Bluetooth connectivity in case you wish to listen your own music.

There is a fire extinguisher in the kitchen.


Please do not tamper with the alarms.

We provide beach towels for your use. Pleae do not take the bathroom towels outside the property.

If you require a change of towels during your stay please contact us.

The bathroom mirror light operates with a sensor on the right side. Also available a shaver socket.

Heating is available in all rooms.

The program runs daily and the smart thermostat is in the shelf in the living room by the dining table.

This can be altered by rotating the dial on the Nest thermostat. Also manually in each radiator.

Summerhouse

A preferred spot by the lake.

The Summerhouse is for all guests with the chance to dine, have a drink or listen to music while enjoying the fantastic views.

Please keep it tidy.

There is radio with a docking station which offers the posibility to connect with Bluetooth devices and listen to music.

The Summerhouse lights come on every day at sunset and off at 10:30 pm.

There are several spaces in the garden with seating areas and dining tables.

Please return cushions for the different seating area indoors after use.

If possible, please do not leave cushions outside overnight.

There is a small amount of charcoal kept in the cushion shed by the Summer house. Please replace what you use.

Guests are responsible for cleaning the barbecue and the tools ready for future guests.

Waste and Recycle

Compost: Please place compostable waste in the compost bins beside the black garden shed located at the other side of the Cottage. No egg shells.


Recycling: Recyclable waste should be placed inside the green bin liner in the metal dustbin on the side of the Barn. Recyclable items are glass, metal(tins, cans and jar lids), plastic and cardboard. This is sorted at the depot.


Waste: All other rubbish should be placed in the kitchen bin.


Septic Tanks: Please only use toilet paper in the toilet. Sanitary products, dental floss, etc need to be disposed of in the bin.


On departure, remember to include the bathroom waste within the kitchen waste. Please bag all waste and put the green recycling and white general bags in the blue wheelie bin beside the garage. Loose waste cannot be collected.


The blue wheelie bin is emptied every Saturday from 7 am and taken by the waste management company to the depot. If possible put the rubbish and recycling bags Friday night or very early Saturday morning.
